New mom Jennifer Hudson is gearing up to celebrate her first holiday season with her favourite new man – her 4-month-old son, David Daniel Otunga Jr.
“I need to make it great for him,” the 28-year-old Dreamgirls star tells PEOPLE. “I just want to make it as exciting and fun for him and it was for me. And I want him to have this feeling each time this time of year come around. Whatever that is, that’s what I want to make my tradition.”
Recently, the proud new mother and self-proclaimed “holiday fanatic” recently appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show and gushed about getting ready for her son’s first Christmas: “I’m going to go crazy,” she told Oprah. “He’s very aware, but he’s so young and it’s his first Christmas, so you have to go all-out.”
For Jennifer, Christmas is all about spreading joy and celebrating with loved ones:
It hurts me so when I see people like, ‘Whatever, Christmas is just another day’. I’m that person who’s going to go over there and get you into the holiday spirit. And that’s how I’ve always been.
With just ten days left until her due date, mom-to-be Kourtney Kardashian is getting very excited about the arrival of her son.

Recently, soon-to-be dad Scott Disick, 26, told Us that Kourtney “will be a good mother” but also “strict”: “She knows how to take care of someone.”
Michelle Branch and her 4-year-old daughter Owen are looking forward to their favorite holiday tradition: Baking!
The 26-year-old singer tells People that she and Owen have a blast together in the kitchen.
“Once I had my daughter, Owen, I enjoyed baking that much more,” she says, “It’s such a mother-daughter thing to do. It all comes down to being with family and doing something for your family. I think that’s why we get an urge to bake at the holidays.”
Owen, who Michelle reveals is a “really great spatula-licker,” already has dreams of a career in cooking.
“[Owen]’s mentioned before, ‘Mama when I grow up, I want to be a mama and a chef.’ Not that I’m going to push her, but I’m like, ‘Please, be a chef!’ When I’m old and you’re taking care of me, I’ll eat very well.”

Matthew Settle and wife Naama Nativ are getting ready to celebrate their daughter Aven’s first Hanukkah – and Christmas! The Gossip Girl dad tells OK! that his family of three blends different traditions during the holiday season.
Her mother’s doing the menorah,” Matthew says. “They like Christmas, so we’ll do Christmas as well, and trees are pretty – they smell nice. I guess we’ll get a real tree for her. The most exciting thing I’m looking forward to is watching her try to open a gift. I know at this age, they just want to eat the box.”
The 40-year-old father of one couldn’t help but gush about his 9-month-old little girl.
“She’s crawling around and pulling herself up,” Matthew says. “When she does things like pull herself up to stand, she looks at us for approval and smiles, like ‘look at me, I’m standing.’ She talks. She goes ‘yah, yah, yah, yah,’ and she says ‘dada’ but she doesn’t know what it means. I’m trying to get her to say ‘mama’ because it’s not fair if she just says ‘dada.’”
The proud papa went on to say that his favorite thing to do with Aven is make music.
“I just bought her a piano,” he says. “A little pink piano on 58th Street at one of those piano stores. It’s actually called My First Piano. I play guitar, and she sits at the piano and bangs on it. That’s pretty fun.”
Do you celebrate Christmas or Hanukkah in your house? Or both?
