Amy Poehler’s former SNL co-star Will Forte revealed to Us Weekly at the Make a Difference NYC event Sunday night that 6-week-old Archie Arnett “is a beautiful baby!”
But, when asked whether Archie looked like his mom or his dad, Will Arnett, he answered,
“I don’t know – he has his own look. He’s a really cool little kid, the cutest.”
Amy has now left SNL after seven years, but she already has another show lined up, helmed by The Office’s executive producer, set to premiere in 2009.
Cate Blanchett is mom to three sons – Dashiell, 7, Roman, 4 1/2, and Ignatius, nicknamed Iggy, 6 months – with husband Andrew Upton, and when Cate and White Stripes singer Jack White did Interview Magazine, she joked that she’s waiting for him to notice that their youngest son is not blond like his brothers!
“Our little one, Iggy, is 6 months old. I’m waiting for Andrew to notice that he’s got a little red fringe.”

Cate also revealed where her son’s uncommon name – and he’s not named after Iggy Pop! Stating that her son’s name is “very Catholic,” Iggy is actually named after Ignatius Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus.
A dad to two redheads himself – daughter Scarlett, 2 ½, and son Henry Lee, 16 months – the two also bonded over that, laughing with each other,
CB:?I know. That’s why we just have to have more of them. The world is so massively overpopulated, but if you’re halfway decent-looking and you make nice ones, then I think it’s probably your responsibility to make more.
JW:?You can always give them away if they don’t work out.
CB:?Or if they’re redheads. But, then again, yours probably are.
JW:?We’ll keep those, yeah.
Jack also shared that his children are “holding each other’s hands right now.” and noted that “each moment doesn’t last long enough, does it?”
Cate’s new movie, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, is due out Christmas Day.
“I’m actually enjoying being single right now because I really never have been. I feel good in relationships,” says the 29-year-old actress. “I enjoy them, so I feel my best when I’m in something solid. But it’s also the first time I’ve ever taken a step back and gotten a new perspective. So, I’ve made a conscious decision to try to stay single as long as possible.”
But, Kate says, there is one man she plans to spend more time with – Ryder! Stating that she “plans to take a break next year” so she can spend more time with her son, she said,
“When he climbs into bed with me, wraps his arms around me and says, ‘Mommy, the sun’s up! It’s a beautiful morning!’ I’m sorry, do I really want to go to work then?” she asks. “No!”
PEOPLE reports that Dennis Quaid and his wife Kimberly have reached a settlement of $750,000 against Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for the accidental overdose of their newborn twins, Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace in 2007.
Papers filed in LA Superior Court on Monday say: “The settlement is the result of extensive negotiations between the parties and their respective legal representatives, and is intended to avoid the time, expense and uncertainty of litigation.” The Quaids’ attorney declined to comment.
Just two weeks after the Quaid twins were born in November 2007 via gestational carrier, they were accidentally given a massive overdose of the blood thinner Heparin, and spent days in critical condition. The babies recovered and are now in excellent health.
Further to this settlement, Cedars-Sinai has been fined $25,000 by the California Department of Public Health. A hospital spokesman said the facility intends to pay the fine. The hospital has since apologized to the Quaids and has taken the necessary steps to better train their staff.
The Quaids have also filed a lawsuit against Heparin’s drug maker, Baxter Healthcare Corp., asking for better packaging of the drug since the adult and pediatric doses are in similar vials. The settlement with Cedars does not affect that lawsuit.

Tom Cruise gushed to PEOPLE on Monday night at the New York premiere of Valkyrie that 2 1/2-year-old Suri has an advanced vocabulary: “Her vocabulary is incredible. I love hearing ‘I love you, dada,’ or, ‘I love you, mama.’ ” The 46-year-old A-Lister said he loves being a father, “I just love every moment. We’ve got the teenagers and I’ve got the two-and-half year old and to have that I feel lucky.”
Tom said his marriage to Katie Holmes is strong than ever, “It doesn’t take a lot of effort with her. Like tonight, everyone is asking, ‘Where’s Kate?’ She is hosting the family and the friends tonight.” Tom admitted to being a hopeless romantic. “I leave flowers in her dressing room all the time. I write little love notes … wishing her well.”
In Valkyrie – his World War II thriller out Christmas Day – Cruise stars as Col. Claus von Stauffenberg in which he wears an eye patch over his left eye. Apparently, Suri didn’t approve of this accessory, “Suri would come up to me and take it off,” he said. “So the girls in the makeup trailer got a little teddy bear with a patch on it and gave it to her and so she would play with it. That she would get used to the fact it was on me.”
Tom added that Suri has adapted easily to life on a movie set. “She’ll watch the monitor and talk.” When asked if he’d like Suri to become an actress, he replied, “I would love that,” he said. “Acting, that’s what I love. It’s a great life.”
