Mom-to-be Judy Reyes had her baby shower at Santa Monica’s Casa Del Mar hotel on Sunday (November 1). The 42-year-old expectant mom talked to Life & Style about being excited to welcome her baby girl with boyfriend George Valencia.
Just two weeks ago, I started getting into the physically uncomfortable and emotional oh-my-gosh-she’s-coming place. I live in the Hollywood Hills, and I pass the Wonderland Avenue School with all the moms and dads bringing their little girls to school in their little outfits. That’s going to be me! I wouldn’t know what to do with a boy. Dressing her is going to be a lot of fun!”
During the shower on Sunday, Judy confirmed that her Scrubs co-star Sarah Chalke, 33, is having a boy!
Suri Cruise spent some quality time with her mom, Katie Holmes, on the set of Katie’s newest film, The Romantics, in Long Island, New York on Thursday (November 5). Suri held onto a stuffed animal wearing a cute dress and flats during their visit. As she departed with the nanny, Suri skipped away in her infamous heels.
Suri – and those heels! – along with mama Katie and papa Tom Cruise have recently been in Boston while Tom has been filming Wichita.View Slideshow »»
Sarah Jessica Parker is crazy about her newborns – so much so that she says she even loves the smell of dirty diapers!
The Sex and the City star graces the cover of the December issue of Elle magazine, where she dishes on double diaper duty, among other things.
“I love the smell of diapers; I even like when they’re wet and you smell them all warm like a baked good,” she says.
Sarah Jessica and her husband Matthew Broderick welcomed their twin daughters Marion Loretta and Tabitha Hodge in June, and the busy mom reveals that big brother James Wilke, 6, lent a hand in picking his new sister’s name.
“He told me he really wanted Marion to be in the mix. We thought, ‘Are we crazy? Do we let our son name one of the girls? Is that the right thing to do? Is it important for him?’ And then he goes, and I want it legal,” she says.
The ultra-chic SJP owns up to a few new mommy fears where her daughters are concerned, confessing, “First of all, I have a fear that they’re not going to like me.”
She jokes that at least the girls will one day be able to raid mom’s closet: “The only tragedy would be if their feet are bigger than mine.”
As a mom, I am forever on the lookout for innovative and creative toys for my kids. Kushies is renowned for their quality children’s products and their toy line Zolo is nothing short of fantastic! Inspired by EQ, the Theory of Emotional Intelligence and created with the guidance of child development experts, Zolo’s toy design is said to stimulate the function of more brain cells than traditional baby products.
Winner of 5 awards and recommended for ages 0-100, Kushies Stacrobats Magnetic Stacking Acrobats help to build imagination, dexterity and independent play. From the cute figures right down to the carry case they come in, Stacrobats is an all-round winner.
This fun set includes 5 fun and colorful magnetic figures, 3 magnetic balls and a powerful magnetic base which becomes the “stage platform”. The base also doubles as a carrying case with a see through “window” and zipper closure.
Both my 3-year-old and 9-month-old daughters had so much fun creating their own little Acrobatic circus! The stripes and bold colors grabbed my youngest daughter’s attention and she was just as fascinated with the whole balancing concept as her older sister.
Stacrobats also encourages:
· Explorative play
· Flexible thinking
· Hand & eye coordination
I have to say one of my favorite things about this toy is how everything fits neatly in the carrying case. Being able to bring something like this while traveling is definitely a bonus!

Thandie Newton – mother of 9-year-old Ripley and 5-year-old Nico – graces the December cover of UK’s InStyle. The gorgeous 36-year-old Crash star talks about heading to yoga after dropping the kids off at school and keeping things professional with her hunky costars.
On having a svelte figure after having two kids: “That’s genetic! And I’m a Jivamukti yoga freak – it’s food for my soul. When I’m not working, I’ll drop Rip off at school and Nico at nursery, then I go to yoga. I also have an amazing personal trainer, who I see whenever I can.”
On if she’s ever thought “Ooh, if I wasn’t married…” with any of her hot male costars: “(laughs) Listen to you! I’ve never dated an actor, just had the odd fling. Isn’t that weird? I don’t flirt with people – a long time ago, I stopped using my sexuality to have a relationship with people. I don’t think you really get a sense of me, sexually, and that’s why I have really great relationships with straight men.”
Canadian singer and songwriter Chantal Kreviazuk is used to juggling the demands of family and fame. Despite her hectic schedule, the 35-year-old mom – she and her rocker hubby Raine Maida are parents to boys Rowan, Lucca and Salvador – says that motherhood has actually helped her creativity and her career.
“A couple of days ago I had four sessions in my home studio in one day,” Chantal tells the Vancouver Sun. “My husband was away and I was running all those sessions and minding my children – obviously with help – managing a dog with an infection, a child with a skin ailment that needed constant attention, another with a bronchial thing… Doing all that mom stuff, you have to be on it, and it made each session, I think, run smoother, because I knew what creatively had to happen with two hours there, four hours there. It was really quite incredible, and I don’t know that I could have done that without children.”
“I actually find that in some way having children renewed or replenished my hunger as an artist,” she adds.
