He said, “So many people said to me, ‘Having a child is going to be great, nothing compares to it’, and it got to the point where I thought, ‘Oh God, this is going to be such an anticlimax’. But, you know, it wasn’t. It’s been the best thing ever. It really has changed the way I think. Having a child puts a different perspective on things. Money really matters to me now in a different way. Before it was just there – now it’s, ‘Well, maybe I could do something with that that will help my daughter.'”
He also added how, even though she’s still young, she’s determined to prove herself, “She’s still very little, but she’s always trying to show she can stand, take a few steps, that she can talk. She just goes for it no matter how many times you say no”.

Gavin Rossdale has been spending a bit of time promoting his new album, Wanderlust, and while he recently confessed that he feels guilty leaving his sons, he also admitted that son Kingston, 2, doesn’t like it, either!
“So being on tour, I love it, and totally miss it. I’ll be going on tour soon. Now I’ve got a new complication because I’m so crazy about my son. I can take him for some of it but clearly not all of it, and that’s a bit of a heartbreaker…It’s a bit sad. I’ve been away on different trips, and I ring home and speak to him. He’s just old enough now to speak to on the phone, and he says, “Daddy, get off the airplane.”

“Definitively. We’re actually expecting, if you didn’t hear, in December,” Usher told Access backstage at his concert at LA’s Club Nokia on Wednesday. “One of the best Christmas gifts there is to have!”
The new baby will join 1-year-old brother Usher Raymon V. The couple have not yet decided on a name, though.
“There are a few names,” he added. “But if you guys have any unique one, please feel free to hit me up. Let me know.”
Williams sat down with Newsweek to promote her new film, “Wendy and Lucy,” and said of her life, “It’s so sad. I guess it’s always changing… What else can I say? I just wake up each day in a slightly different place. Grief is like a moving river, so that’s what I mean by ‘it’s always changing’. Williams continued, “It’s a strange thing to say. Because I’m at heart an optimistic person, but I would say in some ways it just gets worse. It’s just that the more time that passes, the more you miss someone. In some ways it gets worse. That’s what I would say.”
For many celebrities, the security of their children around aggressive paparazzi becomes a foremost concern, which holds true for Williams as well. “It burns a fire inside of me, the s— that I’ve seen people do to get at me or my daughter. I won’t forget it, and I wont’ support it. I don’t want my daughter growing up feeling spied on or threatened.”
Williams described a confrontation with a female paparazzi, “I said, ‘You’re better than this. Look at you! You’re young, you’re able-bodied, you have a brightness in your eyes. You’re above this.’ But you know what? She didn’t go away.”
Williams has been busy making films, and has 3 new movies out in 2009, but she plans to take a year off and focus on her daughter. With respect to the media attention surrounding her life, she told Newsweek, “If it gets to the point where I can’t situate my life in a way that they stay away more, then I’ll drop a match on the thing. I’ll be sad. I like to act. It’s saved my life over and over again. It’s given me a sense of self-esteem, self-worth. I have this thing that I’m in love with – acting — and now it has this baggage.”
Williams and Ledger met while filming Brokeback Mountain in 2005, daughter Matilda Rose was born later that year.
