Kate Hudson Would Rather Listen To Ryder Sing Than Go To Concerts

Kate Hudson, 29, spoke to Cosmopolitan magazine, which hits newstands September 9, about her 4 1/2-year-old son Ryder Russell, and her relationship with his dad, ex Chris Robinson.

On giving up her partying ways for a child: “Am I going to look back and say, ‘God, I wish I could have gone to that concert?’ I’d rather be listening to my son sing songs. I’d rather be watching him sleep.”

On her ex-husband Chris Robinson: “Look – Chris and I are still basically living together! We’ve figured it out. I mean, obviously, nothings perfect, but I could never look at our divorce as a mistake. If anything, it’s the best thing that ever happened to us.”

Melissa Joan Hart On Keeping Family Traditions Alive

Tasty Baby recently sat down with Melissa Joan Hart, 32-year-old mom of two sons, 2-year-old Mason Walter Wilkerson, and 5-month-old Braydon Hart Wilkerson. Melissa opens up about coming from a big family (she is the oldest of seven kids!) and how she and her husband, Mark Wilkerson, plan to instill strong family values with their two sons.

On her most important role as mom: “I have always made my family come first and now I have my own little family to care for and I believe helping them become incredible adults is my biggest job now.”

On if she finds herself parenting with the same morals and values that she grew up with: “Absolutely! I am trying my best to do everything my parents did for us while also using the past as a learning device. Things have changed a lot since I was a kid and I am applying that with my morals and traditions that I was raised with. For example, I allow Mason to have juice now and then but I water it down or try to avoid it completely since it has been proven now to cause health problems if given in excess.”

On her favorite family tradition that she and her family have made: “We go to Disneyland on a birthday. If we move back east, that one may be tough to keep up, but maybe we can do a birthday trip in Feb between their birthdays.”
