On her child seeing Footballers’ Wives footage: “I’m embarrassed now when I think about it,” she adds, “I don’t like the idea of my little one seeing it on the internet when they’re older. When we filmed it didn’t seem that explicit but it looked far racier on screen.”
On finding out she was pregnant after less than a year with her partner: “It was great news. We met on a blind date. It’s a cliché but I knew straight away. So when I discovered we were having a baby it was fab – but so weird! It’s an amazing thing. I’ve always had to work for good things. I don’t expect it to just happen without trying.”
On giving up a 20-a-day cigarette habit as soon as she found out: “If we’d been trying I would have quit some time before,” she admits. “You do go through that thing where you’re like, ‘Oh my word, I’m four weeks’ pregnant and I’ve been smoking’. I feel really well for not having all those toxins.”
On trying to nest: “We are having our house done up which is a bit of a nightmare. I really want to nest but there are people you don’t know in and out all the time.”
On losing her memory: “I didn’t get any morning sickness. I just get very tired. Also my memory has got quite bad, I forget things. I can never remember the words ‘bus stop’! I’m sure it will all come back when I have the baby.”
On having more children: “I’m already thinking about the implications of having more children and wanting to have siblings and a bigger family. I think the gap Charlotte Church has left is fab. I’m one of four and my two brothers and I were very similar in ages and it’s a great age gap. So it’d be nice to crack on! But I count my blessings I’ve got this one on the way.”
Erica, 30, was said to have had a ‘good labour’.
