Liev Schreiber, who stars in the latest X-Men flick, was noticeably absent at Tuesday’s Los Angeles premiere of X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Unfortunately, his 21-month-old son, Sasha, was hospitalized overnight due to respiratory issues.
Liev, who plays Sabretooth in the film, flew from LA to New York to be with his partner, Naomi Watts, and their two children.
Thankfully, one of our favorite celebrity tots was released from the hospital on Wednesday morning: “Sasha got home today and is feeling much better after being hospitalized on Tuesday night with respiratory problems,” Schreiber’s rep Ina Treciokas confirms.
In February it was reported that Jon, 32, was spotted out partying with college students, and that he told one of them that he and Kate were getting a divorce. Now US reveals that he was recently seen leaving a club at 2am, seemingly drunk, with a female companion – and without his wedding ring.
Jon contacted US to respond to the cover story, saying that while he may have shown “poor judgement” the girl in question is just a friend.
“Like most people I have male and female friends and I’m not going to end my friendships just because I’m on TV. However, being out with them late at night, showed poor judgement on my part. What makes me sick, is that my careless behavior has put my family in this uncomfortable position. My family is the most important thing in my life and it kills me that these allegations have hurt them.”
Jon doesn’t deny that he stopped by the bar that night while Kate was out of town promoting her new book Eight Little Faces, but insists it was all entirely innocent. “A friend of mine wanted to check out my car, so I let her drive it to her car. Yes, I have female friends – but that is all she is.”
While he denies the rumors of infidelity and divorce, the reality star dad has never claimed that family life is perfect. Earlier this year Jon told People, “Kate’s career is taking off and I’m a bit lost. This struggle has definitely put some tension in our marriage.”
Married for almost 10 years, Jon and Kate are parents to 8-year-old twins Cara and Mady and 4-year-old sextuplets Aaden, Collin, Alexis, Hannah, Leah and Joel.

Revealing her childhood nickname was “Blubber,” Kate tells Marie Claire, “I was the girl that people would always say, ‘Ah, it’s such a shame, because you’ve got such a pretty face.'”
“I had that well into my teens,” the Oscar-winner continues, adding, “Even now I do not consider myself to be some kind of great, sexy beauty. I don’t mind the way I’m ageing. No reason to panic just yet. I think I look my age, and that’s fine.”
Kate, who is mom to kids Mia, 8, and Joe, 5, says that the intense Hollywood spotlight can be “crushing.”
“‘She’s fat, she’s thin, she’s married, she’s divorced.’ I had all of that, and bouncing back from that criticism is f–king hard. But they just go for the personal now in a way I think can be really crushing.”
The 33-year-old Revolutionary Road star says she thinks it’s important to reveal the truth behind the myth of Hollywood perfection, which can set an impossible standard. She’s criticized magazines for airbrushing photos of her in the past, and threatened to sue Grazia in 2007 over false claims that she was visiting a “diet doctor” in a desperate effort to slim down.
“I do think it’s important for young women to know that magazine covers are retouched. People don’t really look like that. In films I might look glamorous, but I’ve been in hair and make-up for two hours. With the nudity in The Reader, for example, even I was like, ‘Damn, I look good.’ It was a bit of body make-up. I don’t believe in pretending those things don’t go on.”
