On Wednesday, Malawian court ruled that Madonna can officially adopt Baby David.
“We are very happy with what the judge has ruled. It is a positive and beautiful judgment that will have an impact on Malawi’s adoption laws,” Malawian lawyer Alan Chinula said.
As we previously reported, Madonna’s adoption of David Banda has been controversial.
Madonna said last week the setbacks have been difficult to deal with but she is happy to be involved in a case that might pave the way for more adoptions in Malawi. It is estimated that one million children in the country have been orphaned by AIDS.
David’s biological mother died shortly after giving birth to him and his father has approved the adoption.
Geri Halliwell threw a lavish party for her daughter Bluebell’s second birthday. Geri did an Alice in Wonderland theme, complete with an amazing cake and white rabbits. Bluebell was dressed in a pink dress for her big party.
The 35 year-old mother spoke on the challenges of motherhood and how it brought her and Posh Spice together again. Geri even asked Victoria to be Bluebell’s Godmother when she was christened in 2007 and their children regularly play together.
Geri said ‘It’s a challenge being a mother, but I wouldn’t change it for the world.’

British rocker Gavin Rossdale talked recently about wife Gwen Stefani, not missing their new baby’s birth and how having children has changed him. The former rocker with British band Bush gave a revealing insight into his life with his glamorous superstar wife and their 2-year-old son Kingston.
Rossdale, 40, found out in 2004 that he has a 19-year-old daughter Daisy with former girlfriend Pearl Lowe.
On his relationship with Gwen: “We enjoy spending time together and Gwen always looks so great. It’s like four different women a week coming out of the dressing room. It is fantastic.”
On having a delivery surprise: “We don’t know if it’s a boy or a girl. We’re into the surprise element. Plus we are going to put him in a black room. He’ll be a goth baby so it doesn’t matter if it is a girl or a boy.”
On how having Kingston has changed him: “Every day, I am more crazy about Kingston. He’ll do something and all over again I can’t believe how magic he is. This time, I feel a lot more confident. First time around, I hadn’t even held a baby for more than three minutes prior to Kingston being born. I didn’t even know how to burp him.”
Releasing his new album “Wanderlust”: The reaction to it is pretty phenomenal, so I am blown away. After Institute, I removed all expectations and thought, ‘Let’s go down in flames.’ “I had this incredible career with Bush, then formed Institute and made this really heavy record to get it out of my system.”
His son’s impact on his music: “Having children, you just want to be good for them and inspiring. I think Kingston may even enjoy Institute.”
