The Paisley family pose for a happy family portrait on the cover of the new issue of People magazine as country crooner Brad and his wife Kimberly show off their adorable boys Jasper, 4 1/2 months, and Huck, 2 1/2. What a sweet picture!

The couple open up about their sons’ very different personalities, saying that little Jasper is “more easygoing” while Huck – who they describe as “animated, fiery and dramatic" – tends to keep them on their toes.

With an infant and a very spirited toddler in the house, busy mom Kimberly admits, "Two feels like more than two. It feels like five sometimes! But we’re so fortunate that Jasper is happy most of the time."

Brad Paisley & Kimberly Williams-Paisley Waiting On Baby

Brad Paisley and his wife Kimberly Williams-Paisley are still awaiting the arrival of their second child.

Brad reports that he and Kimberly – who is now 9 days past her due date – are taking the waiting game in stride, though their 2-year-old son Huck is getting a bit fed up.

"I think maybe Huck's not buying it anymore," he laughs. "We keep saying, 'You're going to be a big brother,' and I sense he's like, 'Yeah, right! They're full of crap!' "

Meanwhile, the country crooner says he and his wife know that these will probably be the last days of relative peace and quiet they’ll have for a while!

"There's nothing we can do about it,” he says of the wait. “Well, there is, but we're not doing that. We're actually probably going to miss these times when things are simple. I mean you can't put them back!"

Did you deliver past your due date?

Brad Paisley, father to 21-month-old Huck and baby-to-be, co-hosted Wednesday night's Country Music Association Awards. He was also a two-time performer and the winner of the male vocalist award. His offstage celebration provided his sweetest moment of the evening.

PEOPLE reports that after he was awarded best male vocalist, Paisley, 36, rushed offstage into the front row of the audience, where his pregnant wife Kimberly Williams-Paisley, 37, was sitting. He kissed her and then bent down to plant a kiss on her baby bump. Brad said, "I've got four more months to go with this pregnancy and that's going to get me through some stuff – I got that in my back pocket now." The country star went on to joke of his spontaneous show of affection, "The next time I'm not performing up to par, I can say, 'Remember that?' "

Brad said he hopes one day he can replay the moment for his future son or daughter. "Kimberly and I were both talking about how special that will be for our child to grow up someday and see that tape when I kissed her belly. He or she – we don't know what it is yet – will be the second child and they always have trouble feeling important. I didn't do this with Huck – so they’ve got one on him."
