The daughters of Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick were all bundled up as they headed home on Monday (February 1). Meanwhile, mama SJP was finishing up a photo shoot at Milk Studios in New York City.
Sarah and Matthew are also parents to 7-year-old son James.
Matthew Broderick & His Bundled Up Boy
Matthew Broderick walked his 7-year-old son James to school bundled up in his winter gear on Wednesday (January 20). The Ferris Bueller's Day Off star brought along his camera and carried his son's backpack in the chilly New York weather.
Matthew recently commented on what he's learned about fatherhood.
The father thing is basically improv. I'm just making it up as we go along. I love being a father, but I don't have any advice about it. I guess I could say the same thing about my marriage, basically. It just develops and changes and I'm very lucky with who I ended up. And we've been together a pretty long time."
Matthew, 47, and his wife Sarah Jessica Parker, 44, are also parents to 6-month-old twin girls, Marion and Tabitha.
The Broderick Boys Bundle Up
Wrapped up in scarves and warms coats, Matthew Broderick and his 7-year-old son James Wilke were ready to face the winter weather in New York yesterday morning (January 13). The pair seemed in deep conversation as they headed to James' school.
The Broadway star, who also has 6-month-old twin daughters Marion and Tabitha with wife Sarah Jessica Parker, recently revealed that James already has a knack for debating:
The other day he was having an argument with me. He was like, 'Can I just say something?' I was like, 'No, I know what you're gonna say.' He said, 'How is it ever possible to know what somebody's gonna say before they say it?' And I said, 'I guess it isn't.' So where could I go from there?"
Matthew Broderick: Fatherhood Is "Basically Improv"
Life got even busier this past summer for big screen and Broadway star Matthew Broderick when he and his wife of 12 years Sarah Jessica Parker welcomed their twin daughters Marion and Tabitha. The hands-on dad-of-three - son James Wilke is 7 - chats to Parade magazine about fame and fatherhood, and insists of the latter, "I'm just making it up as we go along."

On the challenge of twins: "They sleep through the night now. And, basically, they're very easy to take care of. But they had colds over Christmas and they would wake up every two hours coughing. It's really hard because one would hear the other cry and start crying too, so that was absolutely exhausting. But I won't lie, we have plenty of help because you can't really handle them alone."

Jail Time For Police Cheif Involved In Sarah Jessica Parker Break-In
Ohio police chief Barry Carpenter, 40, who was found guilty of being involved in a break-in at the home of Michelle Ross, 26 – the surrogate mother for Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick – has been sentenced to two years and eight months in prison.
The Associated Press reports that upon announcing the sentence, Judge Solovan called prison time “a must”, and told Carpenter, “You have taken no responsibility or accountability for your actions”.

Busy parents Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick made a Christmas Eve trip to the doctor's office with their 6-month-old twins Marion and Tabitha, who looked absolutely adorable all bundled up in their pink suits.
The 44-year-old Sex and the City star, who is also mom to 7-year-old son James Wilke, recently revealed the family's holiday plans:
We’re going to buy our tree on the 19th. It will stand naked until Christmas Eve, and we’ll put the children to bed and we’ll decorate the tree when the children are in bed. We’ll leave cookies and milk for Santa, and oats for the reindeer, and wake up Christmas morning and they’ll start ripping through presents.”

When I was growing up, we had a naked tree on Christmas Eve, meaning it was unadorned, and then those of us who still believed in Santa Claus—which all my children still do—would go to bed, and when we woke up in the morning, the tree was decorated. We presumed Santa did that in his spare time. And the tubes from the wrapping paper were left under the tree—which were called doot-de-doos—and we were told that's what Santa left to let us know that he had been there to wrap our presents and decorate our tree. And we believed it. And in my house we still do it every year."
James Broderick Grabs Breakfast To Go
Seven-year-old James Wilkie Broderick had breakfast on the go this morning as his dad Matthew Broderick walked him to school in New York (December 4). Looks like James had a visit from the tooth fairy recently - he's missing his two front teeth!
Matthew's wife Sarah Jessica Parker meanwhile was spotted arriving at London's Heathrow airport. The Sex and the City star recently said of her busy life as a working mom:
The great challenge for me is to be all things to all people; I want to be a great mother, and I want to feel good when I’m at work. But it is hard."

After school, Matthew, who is also dad to 5-month-old twin girls, Marion and Tabitha, with wife Sarah Jessica Parker, was seen carrying James' backpack for him - including all of his cute little knick knacks.
