"It was the best thing that can happen to my life," the Brazilian beauty recently said of becoming a mom. "During pregnancy it was great. Those pregnancy hormones did wonders to me. I feel much more beautiful, sexier, more womanly. I think my hair, my skin is much better now."

Moms Adriana Lima and Karolína Kurková were thrilled to be back on the catwalk at this month's Victoria's Secret show in New York.
“Coming back this year is quite exciting,” Adriana, who is mom to 1-year-old daughter Valentina, told Access Hollywood. “It was a long road of waiting and I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to lose the baby weight.... To find time to go to the gym with sleepless nights is not easy — trust me! Every time Valentina would take a nap, I would go to the gym. So, 50 lbs later, I’m here!”

Every mother waits with anticipation for their baby's first words hoping to hear "mama" or, failing that, "dada." However, supermodel Adriana Lima, heard the family pet's name instead.
Adriana, 29, is the owner of a Maltese pooch named Ivy and told the story to In Touch at the Victoria’s Secret Supermodels Launch of Bombshell in New York on September 24. "The dog was barking, so I said, ‘Ivy, no!’ And she said, ‘Ivy!’ It was really amazing, and so funny.”

Model mom Adriana Lima shows off her gorgeous family in the new issue of Hello! Canada magazine. In the issue, the 29-year-old Victoria's Secret star and her handsome hubby Marko Jaric talk about their marriage and their beautiful baby girl Valentina, now 8 months.
On her pregnancy: "I was very sick for five months. And then I had pre-eclampsia, so Valentina was born earlier because of that. But thank God, she was healthy and everything was fine."
Adriana on Marko: "He's been the greatest. I'm so lucky. After the birth, he helped me so much. He would help me feed her, change the diapers - actually, he was better than me at changing her! He's still great. He's always there and he loves Valentina so much. I can see it in his eyes every time he looks at her. He's so happy."

Adriana Lima Shares Post-Baby Fitness Regime

Adriana Lima is back in model form just six months after welcoming daughter Valentina. The supermodel shared her fitness routine with US Weekly, and said that losing the weight was "easy." Lima said she works out "Everyday," adding, "Often I come twice in one day! It can be anywhere from one hour to...two hours," of high-impact cardio.
In regards to nutrition, the supermodel, who has said that she had no cravings during pregnancy, chose a no-carb/all-protein diet for three weeks. She says that now, she is simply selective with her food choices, "I just try to watch what I eat and eat good, nutritious food."
The 28-year-old Brazilian beauty and husband NBA star Marko Jaric have been married since Valentines Day 2009, opting out of a huge wedding that was planned for the following June.
