After over a year, Mel Gibson and ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva have finally reached a custody agreement over their daughter, Lucia.
Access Hollywood reports that Los Angeles Superior Court officials released a statement Friday (August 26) evening, announcing that the couple has settled. Details of the custody arrangement will be handled in a closed session, with the financial portion being determined during the August 31st hearing.

Oksana Grigorieva sat down with Larry King this week to discuss the taped conversations she had with Mel Gibson. Grigorieva, who has a 1-year-old daughter named Lucia with the actor, confessed she began taping the phone calls on an iPhone application after they had a massive argument at his Malibu home in January.
"It was at his house...I ran into my son's bedroom and told him to hide because Mel is crazy, you know, he's getting really violent" she said of the incident. "So, my son was getting ready for bed and he jumped around the bed, hid behind the bed. And I was standing in the middle of the room with the baby like you know, a mother protecting her cubs. And I was standing at the middle of the room holding the baby as Mel proceeded into the room and... struck me twice.

Oksana Grigorieva’s daughter, Lucia, turned one on Saturday (October 30) and to celebrate, the single mother threw a birthday bash at their Sherman Oaks, Calif. home.
Approximately twenty guests, including Oksana’s ex Timothy Dalton – the father of her 13-year-old son, Alexander – arrived around noon. The home was decorated with bouquets of white tulips, which the Russian musician was spotted carrying earlier in the day, and the guests enjoyed a cake from Viktor Benes Bakery.

It looks as though drama will continue to spiral around Oksana Grigorieva and Mel Gibson. RadarOnline.com reports that Oksana – who is mom to 11-month-old baby Lucia with the 54-year-old Braveheart star – has claimed that Mel “dropped” their daughter after leaving her alone to go outside for a cigarette.
This claim was made on August 2, during the Russian musician’s deposition during the couple’s court battle for custody. Oksana told to Mel’s lawyers that her then 2-month-old daughter had to be treated by a doctor “because Mel dropped her and she needed to be seen by [a] chiropractor.”

An agreement signed by both Mel Gibson and his ex Oksana Grigorieva in May gives the Braveheart star joint custody of their 10-month-old daughter Lucia.
The document stipulates that Mel has joint legal custody of the child with liberal unsupervised visitation. When Lucia is with her mom the nanny is to organize Skype calls between the actor and his daughter. Furthermore, when Lucia turns 3 Mel and Oksana will share physical custody 50/50.
Oksana Grigorieva Wants More Cash

It looks like Oksana Grigorieva wants more money from Mel Gibson. TMZ reports that she is asking for 10 times what she gets in child support for their daughter Lucia. She currently receives $5,000 a month from the actor/director.
In addition, she wants Mel to pay for the Sherman Oaks house they live in. Sources tell the gossip site that Timothy Dalton already pays her $2,500 a month in child support for their 13-year-old son Alexander.
A source scoffed, "Lifestyle is not an issue for a 9-month-old. Think she knows the difference between a Ford and a Bentley."
