Padma Lakshmi recently shared her personal insights of being a single parent, entertaining at home, and getting back to her post-baby body to Yahoo! Shine.
Referring to almost 2-year-old Krishna she said, "One thing I’ll say, in truth – I am a single parent. But I don’t feel alone at all in parenting my daughter. I have a big family, who I am surrounded by, and friends. Krishna has a whole other side of her family who loves her, too. And so Krishna is parented by me, but also by her grandmother and aunts and cousins and uncles and friends. It’s a corny thing, but it does take a village. The more who encompass her, the more different-kinds of people who are in Krishna’s life, the better off she is."

The gorgeous single mom opens up to Celebrity Baby Scoop about the joys of motherhood, her sweet girl who "eats everything" and has a knack for re-arranging their home, and how parents can give their kids "the gift of a good palate and eating healthy."

Busy mom Padma Lakshmi was happy to take time out to play host at this weekend's Endometriosis Foundation of America’s Blossom Ball in New York City. After her own struggle with the disease, the Top Chef host says, "I’m so thankful that I have my daughter."
Padma gave a glimpse into the happy home life she shares with her 1-year-old daughter Krishna, telling OK!, “We eat with our hands, we sleep together [laughs], we get up in the morning and we shower together. We have a bath together. My daughter eats lentils and rice and cumin and vegetables. She doesn’t eat meat, but she has a primarily Indian diet at home. She eats all kind of things, but at home she eats pretty much the same food that I eat, it’s just not spicy.”

Adam Dell, the father of Padmi Lakshmi's 11-month-old daughter Krishna Thea, recently filed papers in New York City seeking greater custody.
TMZ reports that he wants to see his daughter more than what was agreed between the former couple. The Top Chef star allows Dell to see Krishna 9 days a month. They have an out-of-court agreement that is in effect until February 20, when she turns one.

What a cutie! Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi was seen feeding her adorable daughter Krishna, 8 months, while enjoying a lunch in Manhattan's Bar Pitti in New York City on Tuesday (November 2). The gorgeous mother-daughter duo were later seen catching a cab.
Baby Krishna is the first child for Padma, whom she is raising on her own. Krishna's father is Columbia Business School professor, and brother to billionaire computer mogul Michael Dell, Adam Dell.
