Sherri Shepherd Is Prepping For A Baby!

Sherri Shepherd is getting ready to walk down the aisle to marry beau Lamar Sally, and like most brides-to-be, the View co-host is working hard to slim down for her special day. But looking good in her wedding gown isn't the only reason she's shedding the pounds.

"I have to lose as much weight as possible for me to be healthy to carry [a baby]," the comedian tells People.

View co-host and actress Sherri Shepherd is busy planning her wedding to TV writer Lamar "Sal" Sally, but it's not guest lists and gowns that the 30 Rock star is stressing over. Instead, she's more concerned about getting her 5-year-old son, Jeffrey, down the aisle.

"I'm just teaching him how to walk down slowly, instead of running, and I'm just going to ask him, please don't say, 'Mommy, I gotta pee.' Can you just hold it for 45 minutes?" Sherri tells People.

CBS: What would you say is the best part of motherhood?

I was talking to Elisabeth Hasselbeck about this, this morning. My son, man, when he grabs my face and he says, "Mommy I want to kiss you. Mommy I love you! "

He just wants to lay with me and he puts his head right on the inside of my shirt, it comforts him. Something about these boobs comfort men, I don't know what it is! When we just lie there and look in each others eyes I think, "What did I ever do before I had you?" That's what I love about being a mother just the bond that my son and I have.
