Danny Cahill: "I Was The Worst Role Model For My Kids"

When Danny Cahill tipped the scales at 430 pounds, his wife and family staged interventions, begging him to get healthy. “I would sit on the couch, watch TV, eat tons of food… I was the worst role model for my kids,” the 40-year-old winner of The Biggest Loser tells In Touch.

“But there’s no magic word. I had to re-find my self-worth.” He said after winning The Biggest Loser, dropping a record 239 pounds. “My wife, who met me when I was 175 pounds, believed in me. She was a big reason that I was able to do it,” says Danny of Darci, who shed 65 pounds as well. “What she did was bigger than what I did at the ranch!”

Danny and Darci are making sure their two children, David, 10, and Mary Claire, 8, stay healthy. “Because when you’ve got kids, it’s not just your life you are affecting — it’s theirs,” adds Danny.
