Broadway and TV star Kristin Chenoweth - who was adopted as an infant - is speaking out about foster care and domestic adoption. The Glee star opens up to Celebrity Baby Scoop about partnering with the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, her hopes to adopt a child one day and her best advice for people considering this option.
I'm now 42 and the thought of adopting crosses my mind a lot," Kristin tells us. "I keep hoping I'll get married, because I'd like to do it with a mate. However, if that day never comes, I would adopt in a heartbeat on my own. I would adopt domestically. There are children in need here in the U.S.," the Emmy Award-winning actress adds.

Is Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth about to become a mom? The Tony Award-winning actress has expressed interest in adopting one of the many children who have been affected by the 7.0-magnitude earthquake in Haiti. The 41-year-old Pushing Daisies star took to Twitter to address the issue:
If I can't have kids of my own someday, I will adopt. Haiti maybe. I mean c'mon! This is killing me people," she posted on Monday. "I wish I could adopt. I've thought long and hard. And I may still. I was adopted myself, so...."
Prior to this post, Kristin opened up to Access Hollywood's Billy Bush about how the recent tragedy has made her consider helping a child in need.
"It is certainly something that I am thinking about and praying about. I wouldn't be surprised if that is in my future," she told Billy. "If we can use celebrity at all in a good way, this is the time to do it."
