Kelly Bensimon: "I'm Really Strict About Who I Introduce My Children To"

Although she is no longer a cast member of The Real Housewives of New York City, former model Kelly Bensimon still has a lot on her plate. In between promoting her fourth book I Can Make You HOT! The Supermodel Diet and being mom to her two daughters Sea, 12, and 9-year-old Teddy (dad is her ex-husband and famed fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon) the 43-year-old jewelry designer is also actively dating.
"Right after I got divorced, I went on Housewives and I met some guys in New York who were not exactly great people with good intentions<" Kelly tells Celebuzz. "I want to expose [my daughters] to people I care about, not people who are trying to take me for a ride. As a result, I’m really strict about dating, and I’m really strict about who I walk around with and who I introduce my children to."

Kelly Bensimon may be done with reality TV, but the 43-year-old Real Housewives of New York City alum is by no means ready to close the door on the idea of having more children.
"I definitely do want to have a baby boy," Bensimon - already mom to daughters Sea Louise, 13, and Thaddeus "Teddy" Ann, 11 - tells AVENUE.

While at Tao Las Vegas's 5th anniversary party on Saturday, the 42-year-old explained to People, "They think I'm their mom. Because I'm their mom I'm not really cool, but their friends like me, so I guess my cool factor is like a two on a [scale of] one to ten – better than a zero."

Real Housewives of New York star Kelly Bensimon strikes a pose in the August issue of Harper's Bazaar. In the interview, the 42-year-old mother of two young daughters - Sea, 11, and Teddy, 9 - showcases her fighting form, defends her notorious freak out during a St. John's getaway, and describes how she teaches her girls "that being mean is not okay."
On explaining her job to her daughters: "I’m 42, and I have this new life,” she says. “Yes, I’m more mass market. And that’s okay. It’s my job.…I’ve worked so hard. It wasn’t always lollipops and unicorns.” She adds, “I tell my girls, ‘Your mom gets paid to engage in inappropriate behavior.’ It’s an amazing opportunity for them to see that being mean is not okay. I tell them, ‘If you’re in a situation like this, walk out. Don’t come back with jelly beans.’”
On the alleged breakdown on RHONY: “I am not crazy. I am unpredictable,” Bensimon says, and adds, “I’m not in therapy.”
On her RHONY costars: “Whether it’s my nail color, my hair color, or the shoes I’m wearing, everything about me bothers them.” She adds, "They want to go to the parties I go to, they want to hang out with me, they want to do the things that I’m doing."

Showbiz Naughty Nannies Tell-All

In Touch interviewed several nannies who have worked for the rich and famous. Though it is usual to sign confidentiality agreements to work for A-listers, these naughty nannies bared their secrets and revealed that working for celebrities isn't always as glamorous as it looks.
Unlike some other Hollywood heavyweights, Madonna reportedly runs a strict and healthy household. According to Angela Jacobsen, the former nanny to Madonna's adopted son David, 4, the family follows a strict kosher and macrobiotic diet. This means no salt, sugar or fast food. The children - also including Lourdes, 13, Rocco, 9, and Mercy, 4 - are not permitted access to TV, magazines or newspapers.
In contrast, according to a nanny who previously worked for Anglina Jolie and Brad Pitt, things here are somewhat more chaotic. She reports that, “The kids are wild in the morning, running into Brad and Angelina’s room to attack them, pull her hair and jump on him.” She also said that, because the family often sleeps in one big bed, the children - Maddox, 7, Pax, 5, Zahara, 4, Shiloh, 4, and one year old twins, Vivienne and Knox - have become very needy.

Kelly Bensimon of The Real Housewives of New York posed on the red carpet with her two daughters - Sea, 11, and Teddy, 9 - at the Shrek Forever After premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City on Wednesday (April 21).
Kelly is sporting quite the tan from their recent trip to Miami Beach, Florida.
The Playboy covergirl voiced her frustrations with the show this season:
I’m not a reality TV star. I’m not an actor. I’m an author and I’m a mom. One of the big problems with the show this season is that it’s hard for me to be real when everyone else is acting."

Kelly Bensimon of The Real Housewives of New York rocked a bikini poolside with her two daughters - Sea, 11, and Teddy, 9 - in Miami Beach, Florida on Wednesday (March 24).
The 41-year-old Playboy cover model took to Twitter while enjoying the Sunshine State: “miami right now. the energy is contagious and the gossip is left in NY!"
On her expectant costar, Bethenny Frankel, Kelly recently commented about their ongoing feud.
I can’t speak to her sensationalism. Everything that happens between the two of us is something that she fabricates. It has nothing to do with me. Listen, that’s her way of getting press. If she talks about me then she gets press and that’s her game."
