Tim McGraw's Girls Are Growing Up Fast

Tim McGraw says his three girls with wife Faith Hill, Gracie, 14, Maggie, 13, and Audrey, 9, are growing up fast! While at the screening of his new movie Dirty Girl in New York City last night, the country singer/actor shared what they're up to.

He told Hollybaby.com, “My oldest daughter Gracie started high school this year. She just had her first homecoming dance last week. That was a big night. And then Maggie is in her last year of Junior High — the 8th grade rules the school now until they switch campuses, so she’s in a great place. And little Audrey sort of runs the whole house. They’re beautiful girls. I think Gracie is almost 5’7″. They grow up fast.”

Tim McGraw Puts Family First

Country crooner Tim McGraw is back on the road, kicking off his latest tour last week in Omaha, Nebraska. Taking time out from his very hectic schedule, the dad-of-three sat down with the Omaha World-Herald to chat about how he manages to carve out quality time with his girls Gracie, 12, Maggie, 11, and Audrey, 9 - with a little help from his very organized wife Faith Hill.

On making time for music, movies and family: "Family is right up there first - the kids' schedule and all of the things they're doing. After that, everything else sort of finds its place. My wife is very good at organization, so she has all the kids' schedules, her schedule, her mom's schedule, all the extracurricular activities and my schedule all lined up."

Tim McGraw Is Happily Outnumbered

As the only male in a family of five, country star Tim McGraw is definitely outnumbered; but it sounds as though he wouldn't have it any other way. Tim, who has kids Gracie, 12, Maggie, 11, and Audrey, 7, with his wife Faith Hill, recently admitted that it can be tough being a dad to daughters, saying, "I do try to be tough, not mean, just firm. You have to be; it's just scary with girls. There's so much that could go wrong. But they're really good kids." The protective papa recently talked to Readers Digest about his life outside of the spotlight, at home with his four favorite girls.

On what he can't live without: "My family, Italian food ... and exercise."

On wishing he had more patience: "I have a hard time waiting, which is horrible because I live with four women. I had to learn not to get dressed until they say they're ready to walk out the door, because I'll still have 30 minutes."

On when his daughters will be ready to date: "[When] I'm dead."

Tim McGraw's Girls Learn A Lesson From Kanye West

Rapper Kayne West’s now infamous interruption of country crooner Taylor Swift’s VMA acceptance speech rubbed a lot of viewers the wrong way – including Tim McGraw!

The dad-of-three tells CMT Insider that the much-talked about incident was upsetting to his daughters Gracie, 12, Maggie, 11, and Audrey, 7.

"He shows himself to be an idiot every time he does stuff like that," Tim says of the Stronger singer. "[My girls] were upset. But what he did do is provide a great example of how not to be, and my girls learned a big lesson."

Tim, who is married to country star Faith Hill, adds that he let his true feelings be known once his daughters were out of earshot: "When they weren't looking I said, "He needs an a-- whoopin'!"

Nineteen-year-old Taylor likely appreciates Tim’s support – after all, he was the subject of her first single, titled Tim McGraw.

Tim McGraw Writes Children's Book

Tim McGraw Writes Children's Book

Country superstar and father of 3 girls, Tim McGraw, understands the challenges that face dads who want to spend quality time with their daughters. The children's book he's co-written with Tom Douglas has some simple advice on how to just that: As long as you're spending time with them, it doesn't really matter what you do.

My Little Girl, to be published on Tuesday, tells the story of a father in a dark cowboy hat who spends a fun day with his little girl Katie doing nothing in particular. The 41-year-old country singer said he enjoys spending time with his daughters — Gracie, 11, Maggie,10, and Audrey, 6 — but if he did what they liked doing, he'd be spending a lot of time shopping or getting pedicures,

"It's something that as a father you kind of have to sacrifice what you want to do, because boys do what you want to do. If I want to go to the farm and shoot guns or ride four-wheelers in the mud when it's 40 degrees ... the girls aren't really interested in doing that," Tim said.

But Tim said he's found that his daughters like coming along while he does simple, everyday errands, like running to the grocery store or stopping by the office,

"Do what you have to do in your regular routine and take them with you. It makes all the difference in the world," he said.

Tim's wife, fellow country superstar Faith Hill, wrote in the forward: "I hope this story provides quality time for fathers and daughters to enjoy each other's company and make memories reading together." While Faith loves the book, McGraw said, his daughters were far less enthusiastic,

"If it doesn't have Chris Brown or the Jonas Brothers involved, they don't care," he laughed.
