It's been four years since Kelly Preston and John Travolta's 16-year-old son Jett died during after suffering a seizure during a family vacation in the Bahamas. The Jerry Maguire star opens up about her "enormous loss" on Lifetime's The Conversation With Amanda de Cadenet.
"I've had enormous loss. Nobody should have to lose a child. It's unfathomable," Kelly says. "But I'm here to say that you can get through it. You can live again. You can want to live again.... Everybody grieves in their own way. I felt at times like I was drowning. It felt like a sea of wet blankets. And then I just peeled them off, layer by layer, so that I can now say, 'I want to live. I love life. My life is beautiful and amazing."

Hollywood leading ladies Jenna Elfman, Kelly Preston and Laila Ali came together last weekend to empower moms and moms-to-be to raise healthy babies. The first ever celebrity breastfeeding and toxin-free living event was held at Elfman's home in Los Angeles to benefit not-for-profit organizations Best for Babes and Healthy Child Healthy World. The event was sponsored by Leading Lady nursing intimates and Ameda breast pumps and coordinated by celebrity event planner Marley Majcher, The Party Goddess.
"I love nothing more than being a mom, and as a moms we are fiercely protective of our kids," Preston tells Celebrity Baby Scoop. "I know I would do anything to ensure the health of my children. That started from day one, twenty years ago, with that first connection I had with my son the first time I breast fed him," she shares of her bond with late son Jett.

Actress Kelly Preston took a flight out of Los Angeles with her 1-year-old son Benjamin on Saturday (January 21). The mother-son duo were seen boarding papa John Travolta's plane.
"I've always wanted to be a mother, ever since I was 11," Kelly said last year. "I was an expert babysitter. I was doing commercials for thousands of dollars, but I'd still babysit for $3 an hour just because I loved it. I'm just in a good place, and am able to really be with my kids. It's pretty amazing having a child at this age.”
