Nicole Richie, Joel Madden and a friend took Sparrow, 2, and Harlow, 4, to the Taronga Zoo in Sydney, Australia on Wednesday (May 16).
The kids looked really interested in the animals. Nicole even snapped photos of the giraffes. At one point, Harlow sat on dad's shoulder's while Sparrow did the same thing with a friend.

Fashion Star mentor Nicole Richie and her rocker husband Joel Madden were photographed enjoying some surf and sun at a local beach in Santa Monica, Calif. with their two children Harlow, 4, and 2-year-old Sparrow on Monday (April 9).
The 30-year-old socialite looked comfy after she slipped into an orange bohemian-style pantsuit and played with her kids. The family-of-four spent most of their time lounging in the sand, building sand castles, and snapping some precious family shots. When the day was done, Joel carried a tuckered Sparrow back to the car while Nicole walked hand-in-hand with her young daughter.

Fashion designer Nicole Richie and her husband Good Charlotte vocalist Joel Madden were spotted picking up their two kids Harlow, 4, and Sparrow, 2, from school in Los Angeles, Calif. on Tuesday (February 14).
It seems the two little munchkins were enjoying some sticky sweets from their Valentine's Day festivities at school. Little Harlow - dressed in a light blue matching top and pants set with a pair of cute black boots - held tight to her daddy's hand as the duo made their way across the street. Sweet Sparrow - who sported a Spiderman sleeveless shirt, athletic pants and some cool Buzz Light Year rubber boots - had his curly locks pulled back into a ponytail as he enjoyed his lollipop and walked with mom.

Nicole Richie and husband Joel Madden gave their kids a pre-Christmas treat when they took them backstage for a meet and greet with the characters of Disney on Ice Presents: Disney-Pixar Toy Story 3 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Calif. this past Saturday (December 17).
Harlow, 3, and baby brother Sparrow 2, were treated to the ice performance and then had their picture taken and got to chat with Toy Story 3 characters Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Barbie and Ken.

Expectant mama Jessica Alba looked lovely in a blue maternity dress and white shawl alongside her husband Cash Warren at Mr Chows in Beverly Hills on Saturday night (June 25). The happy couple were heading into the wedding reception of fashion critic Katherine Power and Justin Coit. The star-studded event was also attended by Nicole Richie and Joel Madden as well as new parents Rachel Zoe and Rodger Berman.
Jessica was moved by the ceremony and wrote on Twitter: "Amazing and beautiful couple Justin Coit and Katherine Power — we had an incredible night celebrating your everlasting love." Nicole had kind words to share as well, and tweeted, "Congratulations to the new married couple Mr. and Mrs. Coit!"

Little Sparrow Madden, 1, was spotted with his nanny at Joan's On Third in Los Angeles, Calif. today (May 19). Parents Nicole Richie and Joel Madden and big sis Harlow, 3, weren't with them but maybe Sparrow wanted it that way – a dude needs his space.
Sparrow is sporting his favorite cap, and in a hat tip to dad has it tilted just like Joel wears it.
